Operation Shower - a non-profit organization (pending 501(c)(3) status) that recognizes and honors the sacrifices military families make by producing and coordinating baby showers for pregnant and expecting military personnel and their families.
Operation Story - a non-profit group collecting stories of service members and their families and will also make memory books for families currently separated.
Sweet Dreams Picture Pillow Project - When a parent who is in the military leaves for an overseas assignment there is loneliness and a longing in the heart of children he or she leaves behind. While nothing can replace the touch of a mom or dad, John Stoeffler of Ballwin has come up with something he believes will help. Watching his grand-children hug their "Lamby" and "Blankey" Stoeffler had an idea and founded a Missouri non-profit corporation that offers FREE to children of deployed moms and dads a pillow with a picture of the child's parent printed on it. One mother who ordered a pillow wrote, "Brady loves it! He is able to kiss his daddy every night and when he's feeling sad it's perfect for cuddling" Similar sentiments have been expressed by numerous other parents who have received a pillow.
